Biologist's cane with a spirally carved ivory knob, decorated in the middle with a red stone England, 2nd half of the 19th century. The end of the pommel is a curved brass ring, the shaft made of Malacca cane has a brass collar and ferrule. The knob and ferrule can be unscrewed, in the upper section of the shaft there is a brass tube containing a pair of tweezers, knives and microscope slides, a glass vial and a microscope, and in the lower section above the ferrule there are eight partially numbered glass vials filled with insects and seeds. Total length 91 cm.
